Chapter 1: An Oddly Comfortable Chair: The Start of A Journey.
Sitting in an oddly comfortable chair was the beginning of a journey for me, my journey from an 11 year military career to the office of holy ministry. I have felt it is time to begin to tell the story of how God directed me to leave the military in the middle of my career and begin the training to become a pastor. I am seeking to show the way God works in the lives of His people so they may “will and act according to His good purpose" (Philippians 2:13). This story is not designed to show my “strength of faith” but rather God’s faithfulness to me and my family amidst our weaknesses, to put us in the place He desired for us. I pray this helps to enrich your confidence that God certainly does work in the lives of His people to accomplish His good and perfect will.
